Cancelation of the scheduled Beaconsfield Primary School House Athletics
Due to the weather forecast for Friday the 1st of August and the condition of the track surface at the Pakenham Little Athletics track I have to cancel the scheduled Beaconsfield Primary School House Athletics.
This event will not be rescheduled and the School Athletics Team will be selected with a series of tryouts held at school. Any money already paid for this excursion will not be refunded but credited to a future event to be determined.
I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, however, the safety and wellbeing of the students must be the highest priority.
Thank you kindly
Physical Education Teacher
This Thursday, the 31st of July, your child is allowed to wear jeans to school to support ‘Jeans for Genes Day’. Jeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much-needed funds for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders.
At Beaconsfield Primary School we have changed the day because of grade 3 to 6 House Athletics Day. Could you please bring along silver coins to raise money to help scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute to discover treatments and cures. Each grade will take their collection of silver coins to make a coin line. We will use our math skills to measure each grade’s line, calculate how much money each grade has raised and to count how many coins each grade has. There are some rewards for grades with the most.
Please note that students are still required to wear school uniform but replace their pants for jeans. Thank you for supporting this cause and our school.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the launch of the O’neil Road ‘Drop and Go Zone’. Please make an effort to meet us at the football oval at 8:15am for the group photo and to walk to school. Parents are more than welcome to join us!
Just a reminder that tomorrow is pyjama day for 5/6 students to celebrate their prep buddies reaching their 100th day of school. Students can come wearing their pyjamas but still need appropriate footwear for outside. Thanks
Well done to Olivia, Tahlia, Sam and Eman (absent) on earning Student of the Week awards this week. They will be presented in front of the school at assembly this afternoon.

Reminder that notes and payment for 5/6 Hoop Time are due at 9am tomorrow. If you do not bring your permission form by tomorrow morning you will not be attending.
