Well done to all our 5/6 students who represented our school at the Lightning Premiership today. It is extremely pleasing that all our students showed great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day. Congratulations to the Football Team, Girls Netball Team and Girls Soccer Team who won their competitions and are progressing through to the next stage.
Yesterday we celebrated the 125th Birthday of Beaconsfield Primary School. It was a fantastic day to be a part of, with many past students and teachers coming back to join in the festivities. The day began with our 5/6 leaders taking tours around the school before our big assembly. It was a great assembly, with many terrific speakers getting up and sharing some important history about our school. Well done to all our 5/6 students who opened the assembly brilliantly with their rendition of Days of Gold. You can view the performance below:
Dear 5/6 students,
This weeks homework challenge was for you to showcase your knowledge of Australia. It was entirely your decision as to how you would present your information. Here are some photos of the homework I received from students in 6J.
As I was so impressed with the homework this week I have decided to give you a week off from answering the blog question. You will still need to read each night and complete Mathletics. There will be no Investigations question this week.
Just a reminder to all of our 5/6 parents that our special 125th Anniversary assembly will be held in the gym at 10:30 tomorrow morning. The assembly will feature past principals, students and a musical performance from our grade 5/6’s which has been sounding fantastic in rehearsals.
Following the assembly at 11am there will be a morning tea that everyone is more than welcome to stick around for.
Hope to see you there,
Thank you to everyone for making such a great effort to dress up for our fundraiser today. We have raised over $800 for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation which is a terrific cause. Well done to Darcy on her speech at assembly today, she spoke extremely clearly and gave everyone an insight into how diabetes has impacted on her life. Thank you to our SRC members who promoted the event as well as hold our Guess the Jelly Beans competition. Well done everyone!
Just a quick reminder to grade 6’s that you need to be dropped off at Berwick Secondary College just before 9am tomorrow morning.
