Investigations Homework Question

Due to next week’s NAPLAN testing, grade 5’s will have a homework free week and are not required to read or complete mathletics. Homework will be as normal for grade 6 students.
Here is this week’s task:

In Writing Groups this term, we are looking at the structure of a Narrative. The requirement for this week’s homework task is to write a one page story through the eyes of a victim. Remember to include an introduction, problem, resolution and include lots of adjectives.

For example: “Waiting for my parents to return from our farm 15 kilometers away, I start to lose hope. The storm was too powerful, out on the streets there were cars blowing over and tumbling down the hill and house roofs lifting off.

The clouds are furious. Wind thrashing the neighbour’s fence punching it into a wreck. The roar of the eerie, outrageous wind, creating damage to the once peaceful village, trees colliding with others sometimes crushing sheds and cars; the wind creating circles of dust whipping up anything in its way.

Little drops of salty water run down my face as I see my home town getting ripped apart. Without warning, the window breaks away from the wall, smashing me and sending me flying across the room”.
