Healthy Heart, Healthy Living

With Healthy Living being our Investigations topic for this term, we thought running a fitness circuit during our Friday Sport time would be a great way to kick things off! Students had the opportunity to complete activities such as push ups, sit ups, burpees, skipping and planking to help improve their fitness level. It was fantastic to see everyone pushing themselves to try and be a healthier human!

Division Champions!

Today our 5/6 Netball and Football teams competed against Upper Beaconsfield in the Divisional Finals. Both teams showed terrific effort and teamwork and came out victorious. They will now progress to the Regional Finals later this term. Well done everyone!

PE next week

Dear Parents

During PE lessons in week 2 and week 3 the students in grades 3 to 6 will be given the opportunity to ride the school’s human powered vehicles (HPVs). A HPV is like a pedal car. Half the grade will ride next week, while the other half the following week. Mr Cole can provide bike helmets for the lesson but if you wish to use your own helmet please remember to bring it to school on the day you have PE. As there are many moving parts on a HPV, please do not wear loose clothing. It is recommended that riders wear tracksuit pants or leggings, not skirts as they may become caught in the chain.

Thank you kindly,

Mr Cole
