Today our 5/6 Netball and Football teams competed against Upper Beaconsfield in the Divisional Finals. Both teams showed terrific effort and teamwork and came out victorious. They will now progress to the Regional Finals later this term. Well done everyone!
Attached is this week’s homework challenge. This is now compulsory for grade 5 students as well as grade 6 students.
During PE lessons in week 2 and week 3 the students in grades 3 to 6 will be given the opportunity to ride the school’s human powered vehicles (HPVs). A HPV is like a pedal car. Half the grade will ride next week, while the other half the following week. Mr Cole can provide bike helmets for the lesson but if you wish to use your own helmet please remember to bring it to school on the day you have PE. As there are many moving parts on a HPV, please do not wear loose clothing. It is recommended that riders wear tracksuit pants or leggings, not skirts as they may become caught in the chain.
Thank you kindly,
On Wednesday in the last week of term 2 we were lucky enough to have Kate Beveridge from the local shire come out and set up a ‘Wheels Day’ for our grade 5/6’s. She set up a fun obstacle course for the students to ride through and a few jumps for those who were interested. Here is a short video of the day:
