House Captain Leadership Day

Today our House Captains travelled to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for a leadership conference run by GRIP. The students learnt what it means to be a leader and the different ways you can show leadership. As well as learning lots of new things, they also enjoyed spending time checking out the city.

Investigations Homework Question

Write a letter to someone from a different country about Australia. The letter should include factual information about Australia as well as some reasons why Australia is such a great place to live. Pretend that the person you are writing the letter to has never heard of Australia before, so it is important to be very specific and descriptive. Some things you can include in your letter:

• Location – where is Australia
• Different states and cities
• Landmarks
• Food
• Culture or Traditions
• Famous Australians

Camp Quality Puppet Show

A big thanks to the puppeteers from Camp Quality who came out today to help give our students a better understanding of cancer. They outlined the importance of being positive and reminded us that laughter is the best medicine when coping with setbacks in life.

First HPV race for 2017

There has been some confusion about the date of our first Human Powered Vehicle race for 2017.

The correct date is Saturday 25th of February 2017 at Casey Fields in Cranbourne. The race will be starting at 10:00am and finishing at 4:00pm. Spectators are welcome, so if you are interested in what HPV racing is all about, this is the closest venue we race at so come on down and have a look.

Further information will be provided to the HPV race team in the next few days.

Thank you kindly

Mr Cole

Please note: there is a WAFL game and AFL pre-season match taking place at Casey Fields on this date.

Congratulations SRC’s!

Congratulations to Tanis, Luke, Kye and Ella who were today announced as the presidents of the Student Representative Council. They will do a great job representing the student voice and running fundraisers for the school.

Well done guys!
