We hope all 5/6 students and families have a wonderful holiday. We have one request for students as homework over the holiday break. As part of our YOL projects next term, students will be creating a portfolio to showcase the work they will be doing. We would like all grade 5/6 students to collect photos of themselves, family, friends and hobbies/interests to make a collage on the outside of their portfolio. School will provide the scrapbook for portfolios but students need to collect photos for decoration. Please bring these in on the first day of term 3. Enjoy your break!
Just a reminder, that we would like all grade 5 and 6 students to return their Youth Out Loud Media permission forms as soon as possible. They are due on the first Tuesday back next term, the 18th July, but it would be great to have all forms back by the end of this term tomorrow. This is an exciting project that students will be undertaking, so all forms need to be returned.
Today 13 students competed at Ballam Park for the Regional Cross Country. Well done to everyone on their efforts. It was an outstanding achievement to make it this far and everyone gave it their all.
Special mention to Ella W, who finished 7th, meaning that she will advance to the next round.
Well done to the 20 grade 5/6 girls who attended the Girls Football tournament on Friday. All of the girls had a great day and improved remarkably as the day progressed. Thanks to all the parents who came along to support.
Due to the inconsistency of the weather and number of students walking, the teachers will not be walking to school for the rest of Term Two. We will continue when the weather gets better in Term Three, however we still encourage parents and students to use our 3 safety drop off zones to walk to school.
